Welcome to AWANA at Memorial Baptist Church:

• We are very excited to offer Awana as a ministry at Memorial Baptist Church. You and your student are extremely important to our Awana leadership team. We have a desire to partner with you in ministering to your student through the program. We want to provide a place and environment that shows the love of Jesus Christ while challenging children to grow in their relationship with Christ through His word.

• AWANA stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed".

• 2 Timothy 2:15 "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."

• Awana's ministry philosophy places the primary focus on being highly scriptural and highly relational. This enables leaders to engage with children around the Bible, in the context of deepening relationships. Our goal is to help children come to know, love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ: To Become His Disciples!

• Each Night consists of Large Group Bible Lessons, Small Group Handbook Time, Team Building Game Time, and Exciting Prizes & Awards.
